International Swiss Talent Forum 2022

5 – 9 July 2022

The think-tank INTERNATIONAL SWISS TALENT FORUM (ISTF) provides a framework for inspired young people from Switzerland and more than 30 countries around the world to brainstorm ideas and solutions to global and long-term challenges of our time. During five intensive and eventful days, participants engage in a broad range of activities, including speeches, workshops, team building activities, social events, and the final public presentation of their results. By sharing ideas with other young people and experts from business, science, and politics, participants learn how to work in diverse and multinational teams and tackle problems using a solution-oriented approach.

For its 11th edition, the ISTF will be centered around the Topic Building a New Resilient Society.

Boys@Science EPFL 2022

Pendant la Semaine d’études Boys@science, l’EPFL ouvre ses portes aux garçons âgés de 11 à 13 ans et leur donne la possibilité d’entrer en contact, de manière ludique, avec le monde fascinant des sciences naturelles et techniques. Durant 5 jours d’ateliers pratiques, les participants découvrent diverses disciplines scientifiques en participant concrètement à des recherches et expériences. Des expert·e·s les guident par des consignes claires et les accompagnent dans leur démarche. Ces activités représentent un premier plongeon dans le monde de la recherche et permet de susciter l’intérêt et la curiosité pour les disciplines scientifiques.

Kids@Science Svizzera italiana (prima settimana) 2022

La settimana Kids@Science in italiano è rivolta alle bambine e ai bambini dalla IV elementare alla I media e si svolge alla sede espositiva de L’ideatorio a Cadro. Attraverso laboratori, giochi e attività i bambini possono assaporare un po’ di scienza e dare spazio alla loro spontanea curiosità e alla loro voglia di esplorazione accompagnati passo dopo passo da monitori esperti. La proposta è promossa congiuntamente con L’ideatorio e SimplyScience.

Study Week IWRW 2022

June 25 – July 2, 2022

With the «International Wildlife Research Week», Swiss Youth in Science (Schweizer Jugend forscht) offers young people from all over Europe an opportunity to discover alpine wildlife in Val Müstair (Canton of Graubünden). During one week, participants will work on a scientific research question and get to know the most important aspects of being a field biologist. They will learn how to define a research question, collect data in the field (alpine environment), do statistics, and present their findings in written and verbal form during the public closing event at the end of the week. The research week is supervised by four experienced biologists specializing in alpine flora and fauna. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to get a taste of being a researcher!
